There are bound to be controversies when it comes to education. One of them was when there was a move to remove English as the means of teaching. English is one of the highest spoken languages in the States. But with the entry of students from foreign countries, it has become complicated. Indeed, changing the medium of teaching is not going to make things better for the natives. Hence this move was shot down but its effects still linger. There are still some groups which believe that this should be done. This is just one of the many issues which dog the education system.
