Simply put, it is the lack of ability of the students to grasp new matter as they progress. Even though we understand that the American system is one of the best educational systems in the world and many have looked to it for inspiration, recently it seems to be heading downwards. This means that even though the system is the same, the students seem to be loosing out on quality. This is not the fault of the education system but the society at large. Peer pressure is the highest here and this has a very bad influence on the mental health of the students.
